3rd Annual Newark Caribbean Festival
The 3rd Annual Newark Caribbean Festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, promising a full day of Caribbean music, culture, and food in Newark, New Jersey.
Organized by the Newark Parks Foundation and TEMPO Networks, this free event celebrates Caribbean heritage with live performances, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.

NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION: STARTING APRIL 10, 2026
The Harriet Tubman Square Improvement Project is Underway.
The Park will be closed for the duration of the project.
Planned enhancements include new seating, improved lighting, pathway repairs, a new plaza, a playground, and a comfort station designed by Nina Cooke John, designer of the Harriet Tubman monument.
The Shadow of a Face Harriet Tubman monument will remain open throughout construction.
